SR 29 Undercrossing 

PROJECT OVERVIEW

The State Route 29 Undercrossing Project consists of constructing a Class I Multi-Use path to provide a safe and convenient pedestrian and bicycle connection between California Boulevard and Coffield Avenue, linking residential neighborhoods east and west of State Route 29.

April 2023 - Tree removal began after a biological survey was completed to verify that bird nests were empty.

January 2023City Council awarded the project to Suulataaq, Inc. at the city council meeting.

November 2022The City received 10 bid proposals and announced Suulataaq, Inc. from Suisun City as the apparent low bidder.  

August 2022 - The City allocated Active Transportation Program (ATP) grant for the project. 

July 2022 - City Staff provided a project status update to the Bicycle and Trails Advisory Commission (BTAC). 

June 2022 - The City obtained California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) approval to proceed with the project.
