The Housing Authority is currently closed to the public.                

Due to COVID-19, for our safety and yours, the Housing Authority is currently closed to the public except by special appointment. If you need to drop off paperwork, please utilize the drop box located on the front door.  Section 8 clients who need to report a change in circumstances will find the required form HERE.

The Housing Division operates a variety of affordable housing programs in the City of Napa including first time homebuyer and rehab loan programs. The Housing Division also administers the City’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program and provides financing for the development of affordable housing. The City’s Housing Division also staffs the Housing Authority of the City of Napa (HACN). HACN provides Section 8 rental assistance countywide.

The Housing Division administers various Federal, State and local programs to assist the community by providing affordable housing and supportive services at all levels of affordability.

  • The Housing Authority of the City of Napa (HACN) has amended its Administrative Plan to allow HACN to conduct a limited opening of its Housing Choice Voucher waiting list for referrals from the Napa County Continuum of Care (CoC) Coordinated Entry System for Mainstream eligible households if HACN has exhausted its waiting list of Mainstream eligible households.  In addition to the eligibility requirements for Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers, Mainstream vouchers holders must also be under 62 years of age and disabled.  Homeless persons in need of housing and other assistance can register with the CoC’s Coordinated Entry System at the South Napa Shelter, by calling (707) 271-7818 extension 2 (Outreach), or by e-mailing Abode Services at [email protected]..
  • La Autoridad de Vivienda de la Ciudad de Napa (HACN) ha modificado su Plan Administrativo para permitir que HACN lleve a cabo una apertura limitada de su lista de espera de Vales de Eleccion de Vivienda para las referencias del Sistema de Entrada Coordinada para Hogares Elegilbes Convencionales del Condado de Napa (CoC) si HACN ha agotado su lista de espera de hogares elegibles convencionales. Ademas de los requisitios de elegibilidad para los Vales de Eleccion de Vivienda de la Seccion 8, los titulares de vales convencionales tambien deben ser menores de 62 años de edad y discapacitados.
