Personnel

The Investigations Bureau is comprised of a Sergeant, six Detectives, and a Forensic Specialist.

In addition, the Special Enforcement Unit, the Youth Services Unit, and Homeless Outreach. The Special Enforcement Unit (SEU) is a unit that focuses on on-going community problems, such as gang crimes and quality of life issues. It is comprised of a Sergeant and four Detectives. The Youth Services Unit is comprised of a Sergeant and three School Resource Officers. In addition, the Police Department has a Youth Services Specialist, who is a certified social worker, and a part time Diversion Specialist. The Unit provides School Resource Officers to the NVUSD schools within the City of Napa at the middle school and high school level. The Diversion Unit provides services to first time non-violent juvenile offenders, working in concert with the Juvenile Justice system. Homeless Outreach is comprised of one full time specialist and one part time specialist. Napa PD Homeless Outreach works to build a rapport with clients while introducing them to the many services available here in Napa County. Homeless Outreach gives those in need a hand up while working to reduce non-emergency calls to vital law enforcement and fire services in Napa County.
