School Education

The City of Napa and Napa Recycling and Waste Services (NRWS) dedicate resources to help Napa's schools become better equipped and informed so that students and staff can recycle and compost effectively as possible.  We offer assistance that includes on-campus assessments and assistance with recycling and compost infrastructure, school presentations and training, and tours of the Napa Recycling and Compost Facility.  To contact our school liaison staff member, call (707) 257-9200.

Napa Recycling and Composting Facility Tours

Students and staff may tour the Napa Recycling & Composting Facility, either separately or as part of combined full-day trip in conjunction with the Jamieson Canyon Water Treatment Plant and Napa Sanitation District Water Recycling Facility. The  Napa Recycling & Composting Facility tour is 60 minutes including introductory discussion and escorted tour.  Grades K-12.  50 students maximum.  Transportation costs may be covered.  Schedule a tour by contacting us.

School Presentations

School presentations are 30-60 minutes and focus on waste reduction and recycling for home and school. Grades K-12. Schedule a presentation by contacting us.

The Environmental Education Coalition of Napa County also connects teachers with local agencies, nonprofits, and businesses that provide local environmental education opportunities. With field trips, guest speakers, and service projects, these organizations hope to make it easy for you to take advantage of our wonderful local resources.
