A Little Bit About Our Neighborhood
The Downtown Neighborhood is bounded on the east by the Napa River, on the south by Division and Third streets, and on the west by Jefferson Street. The northern boundary generally follows the zigzagging edge of the Downtown Commercial” zoning area boundary, which is adjacent to northern residential neighborhoods along Polk and Caymus streets west of Soscol Avenue Plan. The boundaries extend east to include the Oxbow Public Market and former Copia site east of Soscol Avenue. The Planning Area encompasses approximately 210 acres.
It is a vibrant mixed use of commercial and residential buildings, focused around the bends of the Napa River. It tastefully combines the best of old and new Napa. Residents who live in the Downtown Neighborhood can enjoy easy strolls to the Oxbow Public Market and nearby seasonal Farmers Market; showcase restaurants with celebrity chefs next to local family-friendly eateries; the historic Napa Valley Opera House; and shopping that spans local boutique
stores to international names.
