Responsibilities
To provide services related to specialized and technical fingerprint development and analyses of physical evidence using modern technology; to conduct fingerprint comparisons, complex crime scene investigations, forensic laboratory analysis, and forensic photography; and to provide expert witness testimony in legal proceedings. This single position classification provides specialized technical forensic support to the Police Department. The incumbent is expected to be fully trained in all technical aspect of the job including crime scene evidence collection, photography, and analysis, conduct latent print analysis, and prepare for and provide court room testimony.
