2020 ELECTION INFORMATION
The November 3, 2020 Ballot will include of the following:
- Election of one Mayor, at large, for four-year term
- Election of two Councilmembers, from Districts 2 and 4, for four-year terms

Randomized Alphabet Drawing
In accordance with the Elections Code Section 13112(b)(1)(C)(i), the Secretary of State's office conducted a drawing of the letters of the alphabet to determine the randomized alphabet order that will be used for the 2020 General Municipal Election.

City Council District Based Election for 2020
Effective June 5, 2020, City of Napa City Municipal Code 1.10.010 established district based elections for four Councilmembers. Municipal Code 1.10.020 (B) established the sequence of elections with Council Districts 2 and 4 at the November 2020, and every four years thereafter.

The City of Napa has created an easy-to-use interactive map in order to help residents find out which district they currently reside in. You may use this helpful tool by simply typing in your address into the top left-hand search bar and clicking on the search icon. Your search results will show the exact location of the address provided on the interactive map.
Nomination Period - July 13, 2020 to August 7, 2020
During this time, Nomination Papers may be issued by the City Clerk to any eligible candidate during regular business hours. Individuals are considered “official” candidates upon the submission and qualification of Nomination Papers.
The nomination period for candidates opens at 8:00 a.m. on July 13, 2020 and closes at 5:00 p.m. on August 7, 2020. If an incumbent fails to submit nomination papers by this deadline, non-incumbent candidates will have until 5:00 p.m. on August 12, 2020 to file nomination papers.
