The City of Napa is updating the Sign Ordinance regulations in the Napa Municipal Code. Currently, Sign Ordinance is part of the Building & Construction regulations in Chapter 15.56 of the Municipal Code. The new regulations will be part of the Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 17.55. The existing Sign Ordinance was adopted in 1994 and contains many outdated sections. Changes in State and Federal laws pertaining to signage are also included in the updated Sign Ordinance.
The Planning Commission and City Council will consider the attached Sign Ordinance amendments in October. Public review of these materials is encouraged. A summary of Sign Code amendments is also provided. Initial written questions and comments should be sent to the Planning Division by September 7, 2018 if possible. Planning Division
