The City of Napa is updating the Sign Ordinance regulations in the Napa Municipal Code. Currently, Sign Ordinance is part of the Building & Construction regulations in Chapter 15.56 of the Municipal Code. The new regulations will be part of the Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 17.55. The existing Sign Ordinance was adopted in 1994 and contains many outdated sections. Changes in State and Federal laws pertaining to signage are also included in the updated Sign Ordinance.
The City Council approved the proposed Sign Ordinance regulations in December and will consider the second reading of the Ordinance at their January 15, 2019 meeting. The Ordinance will take effect 30 days after the second reading.
