The City of Napa is updating the Sign Ordinance regulations in the Napa Municipal Code. Currently, Sign Ordinance is part of the Building & Construction regulations in Chapter 15.56 of the Municipal Code. The new regulations will be part of the Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 17.55. The existing Sign Ordinance was adopted in 1994 and contains many outdated sections. Changes in State and Federal laws pertaining to signage are also included in the updated Sign Ordinance.
The Planning Commission will consider the attached Sign Ordinance amendments on November 15, 2018. Written comments are accepted at any time. For inclusion of comments into the Planning Commission packet, please submit to the Planning Division no later than 12:00 Noon on Friday, November 9. Pending Planning Commission review and action, the City Council is tentatively scheduled to consider the Sign Ordinance amendments in December.
