Policies & Transparency

Commitment to Transparency

We remain committed to transparency and complying with the law pursuant to Penal Code (PC) 832.7 and Government Code (GC) 7922.000.

Policy Manual

This is the Napa Police Department's Policy Manual. These policies are designed to ensure that our actions are consistent with the best practices of law enforcement agencies across the country. They form the basis for how we should be delivering service in an impartial and professional manner. The mission and vision statement of the employees of this department are presented on page three to illustrate their importance. The orders that follow are equally important, but they are not meant to displace the use of sound and reasonable judgment. The orders should not be blindly followed irrespective of the facts of a particular incident or circumstance.

Mandated Disclosures

The Napa Police Department is required by state and local laws to disclose certain records. For victim privacy, parts of records may be redacted to ensure whistleblower, complainant, victim, and witness privacy.
