"The false duality between dense public spaces and isolated private ones misses the complexity of all the diverse—and relatively safe—urban places in between"

General Plan Update - Behind The Scenes

No GPAC Meetings in April

Due to the extended shelter-in-place orders, there will be no GPAC meetings scheduled in April.

Land Use Plan Community Survey

Planning Staff is finalizing the online community survey (English and Spanish versions) for release in mid-April. During this time of sheltering-in-place, this is a great way to keep the community involved in the General Plan Update. Responses to the survey will help craft our approach to the Community Workshop once we are able to engage the public in person. More information to come!

Housing Opportunities Inventory

Planning Staff is finalizing a contract for consultant services to perform a Housing Sites Inventory utilizing a portion of the recently awarded SB2 Planning Grant fund. This Inventory will help identify potential housing sites within the City and will intersect with the work we are doing on the General Plan Update. More information to come!

City Offices Closed - Staff Still At Work

All public counters in Napa City offices are closed to the public, and open only on a by-appointment basis. By modifying services, using social distancing and offering assistance and service over the phone, we can do our part to minimize COVID-19 exposure to City staff and the public. You can continue to communicate with Planning Staff by calling 707-257-9530 to schedule a phone appointment.
