To Go or Not To Go - Assessing COVID-19 Risk When Heading OutEver wonder how you can participate your daily activities safely while protecting yourself and loved ones from COVID-19? The more closely you interact with others and the longer that interaction, the higher the risk of COVID-19 spread. Ask yourself:
- How many people will be there? - Will the space be outdoors or indoors? - Will I be spending a lot of time talking to people?
Learn more about assessing the risk when deciding to go out at here.

Parking Enforcement to Resume September 14th Due to COVID-19, the Parking Program suspended enforcement of time-limited parking spaces as utilization of parking was minimal. We would like to thank all Downtown patrons, business owners, and employees for their continued voluntary compliance with the Downtown parking rules during the re-opening of our Downtown. With activity picking back up, Downtown parking enforcement will resume effective September 14, 2020. The City will allow a grace period between September 14th – September 18th and will only issue warning citations for short-term parking violations. Once the grace period concludes, normal parking enforcement operations will resume.
Time Limited parking spaces marked with a green curb are conveniently located around Downtown for easy pick-up of take-out orders or curbside pick-up. The Food Priority Pickup locations will remain in place as parking enforcement returns. As restaurants continue to offer take-out and outdoor dining, we urge everyone to drive safely as they travel near outdoor dining establishments to ensure the safety of patrons and pedestrians.
For those who would like to learn more about Downtown Parking Permits, please visit https://www.cityofnapa.org/177/Parking-Permits.

Ways to Give - Helping Those Affected by the Wildfires"Look for the helpers." -Mister Rogers
We have so many wonderful helpers in this community! Looking for ways to join in the helping? Here are some ways: Napa Valley COAD is collecting gift cards to help those displaced and in need. Gift cards from general/sundry stores, grocery stores, and gas stations in $25 increments are preferred. Unfortunately, general cards such as Visa and Mastercard often have fees associated with activating them and the value of the card is diminished. Check out the photo below for drop off locations. You can also visit COAD's website also: http://napavalleycoad.org/Donations can be made to the Napa Valley Community Foundation. The Foundation has set up a 2020 Napa County WildFire Fund, which is part of the Disaster Relief Fund. Funding will go to support response grants for agencies actively supporting individuals impacted by the fires. Tax-deductible contributions to the 2020 Napa Wildfire Fund are welcome in any amount; and can be made by visiting the Foundation's website: http://ow.ly/UdSb50B4XAP

From Napa San: Browns Valley Trunk Sewer Project Update NapaSan will begin work at the intersection of Freeway Drive, Laurel Street, and Kilburn Avenue during the week of August 31, 2020. Tunneling beneath Freeway Drive will occur just south of the intersection for approximately three weeks. Just north of the intersection, sewer pipeline installation will begin on Freeway Drive and proceed northbound to First Street. NapaSan will work hard to minimize the impacts of this construction, but traffic delays, parking restrictions in the active work zone, noise, and dust should be expected while construction is taking place. Work will be performed between the hours of 7am and 6pm. Traffic control will be implemented for safety reasons, however, access to properties will be maintained at all times for local residents and emergency services. If possible, please seek an alternate route to avoid this construction area. Public transportation, mail delivery, and solid waste collection services will not be affected by this construction work. Additional project information can be found at www.napasan.com/bvproject. If you have further questions concerning the project, please call the project hotline at (707)540-9964. We thank you for your patience while we complete this essential sewer project.

Temporary Road Closure: Main Street between Second and Third StreetsHEADS UP! Main Street between Second and Third Streets is temporarily closed to vehicle traffic. This temporary closure will help provide additional space for pedestrians to properly social distance when visiting many of our local restaurants and Veterans Park, which make up this busy downtown block. To ensure everyone’s safety, the following measures will be taken: - Barricades and traffic control signage will be placed to alert drivers of the change.
- The traffic signal programming at both adjacent intersections will be adjusted to accommodate the temporary closure.
And remember, if you are planning on spending time away from home, be a good #NapaNeighbor and wear your mask, wash your hands and maintain 6’ of distance from others!
