Health Experts Now Recommend Two Masks - Here's How to Wear ThemHealth experts are now recommending wearing two masks when out or around others to prevent getting and spreading COVID-19. Masks work best when everyone wears them but not all masks provide the same protection.
When wearing two masks, there are two safe ways to layer: - Use a cloth mask that has multiple layers of fabric - Wear a disposable mask underneath a cloth mask (do NOT layer two disposable masks)
Always make sure the masks fit snugly against your face but that you can see and breathe easily.
For more information about how your mask protects you, visit the CDC's page here.

Every Second Counts in an EmergencyEvery second counts in an emergency. Be sure valuable time is not lost by making sure your home's address is clearly displayed and posted where emergency responders can easily see it. Go outside and find out if your address is visible from the street. Ask yourself:
- Can my house easily be found? - Is my house number easily found, seen and readable from the street? - Can it be found at night?
If you answered no, consider updating your existing house numbers or replace them with new house numbers.

Stretching Our Water Supply Lack of rainfall in our Lake Hennessey watershed has reservoir volume a bit below average this winter, so let’s help stretch that supply throughout the year. For about two more weeks, our water system will be fed exclusively from the Lake. While not exactly expecting a March Miracle, the long-range forecast is calling for some March Moisture to benefit your lawn. So let’s all wait until true spring to kick on those automatic sprinklers. For year-round tips, check out sample irrigation schedules in the Napa Valley Watering Guide.

Changes Aesthetics of Drinking Water from Lake HennesseyThank you for your continued patience. We are about half way through the three weeks of scheduled maintenance of our State Water Project (delta water) Supply facilities and are scheduled to be able to switch away from predominately Lake Hennessey source water on March 26th. Although our twenty-four hour operation will resume with our use of the delta water, Hennessey drinking water will still remain in our distribution system and throughout our summer operation to meet peak demands.
As part of our on-going water quality testing, we perform a weekly odor panel assessment every Monday and we’ve noticed the odor associated with algae in the water has been reduced compared with our results from last week. While still detectable, our continued PAK27 algaecide treatments and optimizing the depth from which we draw our water through the intake tower before it starts the treatment process is easing the intensity. We are actively monitoring our water treatment process with all available tools to continue to provide you with safe, high quality drinking water, with minimal aroma!
Remember, to minimize the odor while drinking: • keep it cold, • add a twist of citrus or cucumber.
