Reminder: Fireworks are Illegal in the City AND County of NapaKeep everyone safe this Independence Day and leave fireworks to the pros! Though we may be coming to the end of National Fireworks Safety Month, firework do's and don'ts are important to keep in mind as we head into July.
- DON'T use fireworks in your summer celebrations
- DO leave fireworks to the professionals
Under the City's Municipal Code, it is illegal in Napa to possess, use or sell fireworks and can come with fines up to $500. Fireworks cause thousands of serious injuries each year and have started thousands of dangerous fires. Leave the fireworks to the pros. Learn more about firework safety at https://www.nsc.org/home-safety/tools-resources/seasonal-safety/summer/fireworks.

4th of July Fireworks Show Anticipated to Return in 2022 Due to uncertainty with COVID-19 and related budgetary impacts, the City of Napa will not host a firework display or celebration at Oxbow Commons this year. However, the Parks & Recreation Department will be adding an extra splash of patriotic color to help celebrate Independence Day downtown. With volunteers and staff, we will be hanging bunting and other decorations on the bridges, promenade, and Veteran's Memorial Park. Families and friends are encouraged to stroll downtown and enjoy the festive environment. Fireworks are anticipated to return for 2022!

Napa's Redistricting ProcessWhat You Need To Know Did you know that Napa started its redistricting process? Each public agency in California has to redistrict every 10 years after Census population data is released. Redrawing districts helps to ensure that Councilmembers represent close to the same amount of residents AND helps to protect voting rights and protects communities' interests.
