2021 Coastal Cleanup

Coastal Cleanup Day is This Weekend!


Coastal Cleanup Day is Saturday, September 18! The Napa County Resource Conservation District is hosting clean-ups throughout Napa County from 9 AM - 12 PM. Join us in keeping our community clean by signing up to volunteer for a clean-up near you!

There will be locations all throughout Napa, including Downtown Napa at Main & Pearl, Oxbow Commons, Vine Trail at Hartle Court, South Jefferson Wetlands, and many more. All ages are welcome to participate!

Know Your Zone


Knowing your zone number could make all the difference during an emergency evacuation. The City and County of Napa are working with Zonehaven to assign the entire county zone numbers so communication is clear and easy to understand in emergency situations. The numbers will be used in communication so residents know where they should evacuate to. 

Find out your household's zone number by visiting community.zonehaven.com, typing in your address in the search bar and writing down your Zone number in a place you'll remember.

Road Work

Overnight Work on Trancas Street

Work Anticipated to Continue Until Sept. 28


The City of Napa began overnight work on Trancas Street yesterday, during the hours of 6pm-6am. The approximate project completion is scheduled for September 28. 

Please pay attention and observe Traffic Control and Pedestrian Control in the area. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation and understanding of the need for this project!




Suicide Prevention

September is National Suicide Prevention Month


September is National Suicide Prevention Month, and today is World Suicide Prevention Day. The City of Napa cares about the lives of each of our residents, and we hope to spread hope and important information to people affected by suicide. 

  • Napa County has a 24 hour Mental Health Crisis Line, at (707) 253-4711 and monthly Suicide Prevention Council Meetings from 4-5:30pm on the second Thursday of each month. 
  • Check in with your family and friends to see how we can support each other. Making a phone call and lending a supportive ear could make all the difference in their time of need.

Drought Update

City of Napa to Switch to Lake Hennessey for Main Water Supply for 3-5 Weeks


Due to persistent drought conditions, the City of Napa switched to Lake Hennessey as the main water supply for 3-5 weeks, beginning September 12.

Stanley Lane Closure

Temporary Closure: Stanly Lane Bike and Pedestrian Trail Facility

Tuesday, 9/7, through Friday, 9/24


The City of Napa is rehabilitating the Stanly Lane Bike and Pedestrian Trail Facility, resulting in the temporary closure of the trail from Tuesday, September 7, through Friday, September 24. 

Bicyclists and pedestrians will be detoured during the closure and will be allowed to share the main road, Stanly Lane. There will be signs posted on the trail notifying of the closure, which specifically affects the area beneath the eucalyptus trees. 

The City thanks you for your accommodation to this trail closure while we work to improve public spaces for our community!
