Redistricting: How District Lines Are DrawnPublic agencies have to follow certain rules when redrawing electoral districts to ensure equity and respect to local communities. Check out our latest video here or by clicking the image below for a quick, informative snapshot about redistricting!
Here are 5 facts about how #Redistricting lines are drawn: - Each district should share a common border with the next
- The geographic integrity of a city should minimize division
- Boundaries should be easily identifiable that follow natural or artificial barriers such as rivers, streets, highways and rail lines
- Lines shall be drawn to encourage geographic compactness
- Boundaries shall not be drawn for purposes of favoring or discriminating against a political party

Fight Food InsecuritySave the environment while fighting food insecurity in Napa Valley! In the US, 40% of food goes uneaten, which wastes fresh water, fertilizer, crop land and landfill volume, when it could be feeding our communities.
Donating unsold, surplus food is easy with ChowMatch, the Feeding it Forward web application tool. Permitted food facilities such as restaurants, hotels, grocery stores, food processing facilities, food distributors, and caterers can donate prepared foods and meals.
Learn more at fifnv.org. Reminder: The Good Samaritan Act (Public Law 104-210) protects you from liability when donating food.
