Be Prepared for Wet Winter WeatherAre you prepared for winter? If you live in a flood prone area, take measures to protect your home and your valuables:
- Store valuables and important documents in a water-safe area and take photos for insurance inventory
- Consider sealing the walls of your basement and raising utilities above base flood elevation
- Get flood insurance and stay connected to make sure new items are covered

Couldn't make it to Drug Take Back Day? Don't worry! Those unable to take items to the event can dispose of unwanted pharmaceuticals (non-controlled substances only) and home generated sharps year-round at the Napa-Vallejo Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility located at 889A Devlin Road, next to the Transfer Station in American Canyon. The facility is open every Friday and Saturday from 9 AM to 4 PM.
There are several local year-round opportunities for safe and legal disposal of both controlled and non-controlled substances and medical sharps: www.naparecycling.com/medicine
Mail back services are available for your home generated sharps. Additional year-round options for residential medical sharps can be found online at www.naparecycling.com/needles-and-sharps or call the Napa County Department of Public Works for more sharps disposal information at 707-253-4094.
You can also use specially designated drop-off bins to dispose of home generated sharps at the Napa County Sheriff’s Office lobby, 1535 Airport Boulevard, Napa, any time between 8AM and 5PM, Monday through Friday.

Road Work Update!
Over the next 5 weeks Soscol between Lincoln and Trancas will be heavily impacted by construction.
Below is a list of tentative activities:
- 10/18 - 10/27: Old Soscol to Pear Tree (new median island installation)
- 10/28 – 11/5: Central to Old Soscol (paving and cold in place recycling work)
- 11/8 – 11/12: Old Soscol to Pear Tree (paving)
- 11/15 – 11/19: Signal at Old Soscol may be installed

Roundabout Public Art Project RFQ NOW OPEN!The City of Napa is pleased to announce that the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the Roundabout Public Art Project opened on Monday, October 11th, 2021 with a projected submission deadline of Friday, November 12th, 2021. The RFQ will seek qualifications from experienced public artists (or artist teams) who specialize in site specific sculpture for gateway artwork located at the southeast corner of 1st street (not in the center of the roundabout).
