Intermittent City Lobby Closures Some City of Napa facility lobbies may be intermittently closed as we respond to the spread of the Omicron COVID-19 variant. The City of Napa Police Department has closed its lobby temporarily from January 21-28, 2022 and will evaluate re-opening on a week-to-week basis after that time. The Police Department’s Records personnel will still be working business hours (8-5pm), Monday through Friday. For assistance, please call 707-257-9573 or send an email to: [email protected]. The direct non-emergency number to Dispatch is 707-257-9223. To file an online police report please visit our website, https://www.cityofnapa.org/497/Filing-an-Online-Report
Should any other departments require lobby closures, the City will advise the public of alternate ways to continue to do business, either via email, phone or our website.
Despite the increase in cases, City of Napa internal protocols have proven effective at reducing the spread of COVID-19, given the majority of these cases have arisen from exposures outside of the workplace. Regardless, lobby staffing is subject to change based on the health of our employees and the evolving nature of COVID-19 public health guidance.
We appreciate our community’s understanding as we continue to navigate the public health conditions under the guidance of public health officials. The City will update residents of any anticipated lobby closures as they arise. Stay in the loop at: www.cityofnapa.org.
The City of Napa follows all Center for Disease Control (CDC), California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and Napa County Public Health guidelines. In accordance with their guidelines, the City of Napa has taken several precautions to keep our community safe and healthy.
All employees and members of the public are required to wear a mask inside City facilities. The City has contracted a contact tracer to manage COVID-19 cases and exposures, and employees follow all CDPH quarantine and isolation guidelines related to exposures and positive cases. Additional protective measures include the implementation of enhanced cleaning procedures in all City facilities, the installation of barriers at front counters and in Council Chambers, the transition of internal and public meetings to a virtual format and the reduction of in-office staffing.
The City is tracking and encouraging employees to get vaccinated and boosted, and this week partnered with Queen of the Valley to host a booster clinic for City of Napa employees. At 77%, the large majority of City of Napa full-time and part-time employees are fully vaccinated.
