Caltrans Pavement Repair Project
Underway

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has started work on a long-term project to repair the pavement on State Route 29 (SR-29) between the City of Napa and just south of the City of St. Helena.

Pavement Repair on SR-29 through the Napa Valley
As part of the project, Caltrans and its contractor will perform overnight pavement preparation work which includes drainage and culvert work on northbound and southbound SR-29 between Yountville and St. Helena.

Overnight Work Starts April 2, 2018
The work starts Monday, April 2, 2018 until Friday, April 20, 2018. Work is scheduled Mondays through Fridays starting at 7:00 PM until 6:00 AM the following mornings.

One-Way Traffic Controls-Expect Delays
To ensure worker and public safety, one-way traffic controls will be in effect during the work on SR-29 between Yountville and St. Helena. Crews will alternate lane closures in both northbound and southbound directions. Motorists should expect delays and allow for extra travel time.

Earth Day Celebration comes to Napa once again on April 22

City of Napa Recycling, Water Conservation and Parks and Recreation exhibits will join dozens of others in the Oxbow Commons on Sunday, April 22nd to celebrate Earth Day, educating festival attendees about how they can make a difference for Napa and the planet. Moving to Sunday this year, the event runs from 11 am to 4 pm downtown along the Napa River at the wonderful Oxbow Commons Park. There will be activities for the whole family, from crafts, games, and farm animals to yoga, beer, and wine - and of course delicious local food!  Music and dancers will entertain, with bands sponsored by BottleRock Napa Valley. Best of all, beverage sales fund bus grants that enable Napa County students to enjoy environmental field trips. The event is hosted by the Environmental Education Coalition of Napa County (EECNC). Full details are found at www.EarthDayNapa.com.
