Brown Street Corridor Community MeetingOn Wednesday, October 10, 2018, the City invites the community to City Hall to participate in a meeting to establish a vision and conceptual plan for downtown Napa’s Brown Street Corridor. The focus area for the project includes the segment of Brown Street between Pearl and Third Streets. Revising the vision for this space could allow for more recreational space for families to gather, as well as employees from local businesses to enjoy during their workday. Additionally, new potential plans could allow for more walkable and bike-able space right in our downtown, tying the north and south ends together.
Community members can elect to attend a short presentation by the design consultant at either 6PM or 7PM. After the presentation, attendees will be invited to participate in a 40 to 45-minute interactive session, wherein they can indicate their preferences for specific design elements.
Date: Wednesday, October 10 Time: 6PM -OR- 7PM Location: City Hall, 955 School Street, Napa

City of Napa's Roundabouts Project is Underway The City of Napa’s Roundabouts Project is underway. The project to construct the State Route 29 (SR 29) Northbound First Street Ramps and California Boulevard Roundabouts began back in July 2018. Here are a few updates to the project, and what you can expect in the coming months and beyond.
Utility relocation (AT&T, Comcast and PG&E) is necessary to clear the necessary space to begin the demolition and grading of the new intersection.
Similar to the utilities, there are some trees that need to be removed to accommodate the footprint of the project. A tree contractor, The Professional Tree Care Company, will take out only those trees that need to be removed in the coming months. There will be occasional traffic control through the intersections during this phase.
Demolition, grading for the project and construction of the roundabouts will begin in earnest during Spring 2019 and is anticipated to be complete by Winter 2020.
The final phase of the project will be to install project landscaping, which includes the planting of trees and ornamental plants designed to create an enhanced east-west corridor through Napa as well as replace plantings and trees removed as part of the project.
Completed: - AT&T and Comcast have mobilized and relocated their facilities.
In Progress: - PG&E Gas and Electric mobilizing in Sept/Oct 2018 to relocate their underground facilities. - Tree Removal will be occurring between now and the end of November 2018.
Coming Up: - Staged demolition and grading to begin in April 2019.
Please follow the project on the City’s website at: https://www.cityofnapa.org/Roundabouts.
If you have any questions please email the City’s Engineering Division at [email protected].
