Lighted Art Festival Dates: January 12 - 20, 2019 Times: Monday - Thursday from 6 PM - 9 PM; Friday - Sunday from 6 PM - 10 PM
Art After Dark - Iconic Napa architecture becomes the painting in this lighted art walk. Original artwork created by local and international artists will be installed at approximately 16 locations in Downtown Napa and the Oxbow District. The festival features a combination of lighted sculptures, 3D mapping projections that conform to the building’s architecture, digital video art and creative technical lighting.
This year’s theme embodies and explores the concept of Beyond. The artwork represents concepts outside our physical limits, surpassing our imagination or demonstrating something that is greater or apart from us. Experience Napa in a different light!

Lantern Creation Station In preparation and celebration of the first Napa Lantern Parade, people of all ages are invited to make a custom lantern to show off later that night! Art supplies and lantern lights will be provided, as well as instructions, ideas and inspirations. Artsy helpers will be on site to assist lantern-makers!
As an exciting new feature of the Napa Lighted Arts Festival, a parade of participants will show off their handmade lanterns while weaving throughout downtown Napa on a short loop, energized by live music and other lighted art installations along the way. The result will be a magical and fun “art after dark” experience for viewers and participants alike. In line with the Lighted Arts Festival’s 2019 theme of BEYOND, we invite lantern designs to be inspired by the literal or conceptual interpretation of the word. As this is a family-friendly event, art is encouraged to be generally uplifting, inspiring, imaginative and positive.
Feel free to bring your own art supplies should you feel inspired to do so. If staying for the Lantern Parade later that evening, remember to bring layers to stay warm and comfortable shoes!
Visit the Napa Lantern Parade Facebook Event to learn more. You can also check out Do Napa's Lantern Parade page or the City of Napa's Lantern Parade page for more info.

Fixing our Roads - One Pothole at a Time Rain, rain, go away! Actually, we do need the rain, and as we move right into the rainy season here in Napa, we need your help! Crews are out in force tackling potholes around town now – probably even before some of us have had our first cup of coffee in the morning! Being proactive in addressing potholes is extremely important in helping to improve the conditions of our streets – and we want to hear from you - our residents!
Our residents can visit our Service Center at www.cityofnapa.org/ServiceCenter to report potholes from your phone or computer – you can be in your living room or right in the middle of the pothole. Use our map to mark your location, and add any other details you need to, then hit submit! Our Streets crews will add the pothole to their schedule. Remember – our pothole crew is here for you!
And coming soon – we will have a new Service Center which will make it even easier for our residents to let us know what they need help with – from referring potholes to water leaks to graffiti.
