2019 Composting WorkshopsRegistration Now Open! Our annual series of backyard and worm composting workshops kick off this Saturday, March 16th with the first one being held in St. Helena. This will be the 22nd year that the City of Napa, County of Napa, UC Master Gardeners, City of American Canyon and Upper Valley Waste Management Agency will provide an opportunity for all residents throughout our Napa Valley community to attend these free workshops.
Registration is now open for Composting Workshops for 2019. Two types of workshop will be offered again this year—home composting and worm composting. Home composting workshop attendees will learn the basics of composting, including tools, techniques, and bin types. Turn your yard trimmings and kitchen scraps into rich compost to use as a soil amendment or garden mulch. Worm composting (vermiposting) focuses on food scraps and is often the best option for those with limited space and minimal or no yard waste. Participants will assemble a working worm bin to take home. Registration is FREE and there are three dates remaining. You can register for EITHER one home compost OR one worm compost class on any workshop day. Participants can register at https://compost.naparecycles.org/ - space is limited!
