Workshop on medical marijuana issues set for Feb. 9

The City Council will hold a workshop for the purpose of providing City staff input and direction on the principles, policies and completion schedule of ordinances related to Medical Marijuana Dispensaries, pursuant to a work program directed by the City Council on September 1, 2009. The Council workshop will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located at 955 School Street. A presentation titled "Scoping the Medical Marijuana Issue" that described the objectives of the workshop can be downloaded here . City comments on Draft Environmental Impact Report for Napa Pipe project

The City of Napa has submitted a letter to the County of Napa offering comments on the Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) for the proposed development at the former site of Napa Pipe. The letter can be viewed here.

Lane closures ahead on Soscol Avenue

Road work related to the Napa River-Napa Creek Flood Protection Project will begin February 1, weather permitting, and continue through the rest of the month. A variety of lane closures will be required for this work and traffic delays are expected.

Napa PD adopts the TRACE Program

To help reduce the number of alcohol-related injuries and deaths involving minors the Napa Police Department and Justin-Siena High School’s Friday Night Live (FNL) Chapter and the Napa Police Department have joined forces in adopting the TRACE Program. TRACE stands for Targeting Responsibility for Alcohol-Connected Emergencies.
