The Bay Area Air Quality Management District has instituted a policy that prohibits the use of a fireplace on Winter Spare the Air Days. Community members in Napa are invited to offer their input about the city’s parks, recreation services and open space facilities through a brief (10-minute) online survey that will help Napa’s Community Resources Department determine the direction of parks and recreation planning for the next 15 years.

The survey is available through the end of the year on the project website at www.napaparksmasterplan.org

The City of Napa’s distribution of sandbags for winter weather preparedness will begin Saturday, November 1, 2008, at the City’s Corporation Yard at 770 Jackson Street, one block west of Soscol. Sand and sandbags are provided at no charge to those who wish to keep them on hand this winter in case of flooding.
