Monday July 12, 2010 Notice is hereby given that a General Municipal Election will be held in the City of Napa on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 for the following Offices: Two (2) members of the City Council (Full term of four (4) years)Declarations of Candidacy (nomination documents) may be obtained starting on July 12, 2010 at the City Clerk Department located at 955 School Street, Napa. Regular office hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Declarations of Candidacy must be returned to the City Clerk Department no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 6, 2010. In order to be eligible as a candidate, the nominee must be a registered voter of the City of Napa. The nomination period for City Council will be extended if either incumbent Councilmember Peter Mott or Juliana Inman does not file by August 6, 2010. If no one or only one person is nominated for an elective office, appointment to the elective office may be made as prescribed by §10229, Elections Code of the State of California.
