Medical Marijuana Dispensary Information

The City of Napa is in the process of accepting applications for the selection of an applicant for a Medical Marijuana Dispensary Use Permit, as set forth in Napa Municipal Code Section 17.52.275.  This webpage contains information regarding the development of the Medical Marijuana Dispensary regulations as well as application information.  Information will be posted to this site as it becomes available.

Online registration for rec programs temporarily out of order

Online registration for recreation programs iscurrently experiencing technical difficulties. As a result, the registration deadlinefor the Youth Flag Football Program has been extended to Thursday, September 9. Registrations for all programs are currently being accepted by fax to 707-257-9532 or by using our drop at 1100 West Street at the Parks and Recreation Services administration office.  Follow this link for the registration form.  For more information and answers to questions, contact Parks and Recreation Services at 707-257-9529 during regular hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The office is closed from 12:30pm to  1:30pm weekdays and all day on weekends and holidays. The office will be closed Monday, September 6 for the Labor Day Holiday.

 
Fire Department encourages Napans to get ready during National Preparedness Month

The Napa City Fire Department is taking part in the seventh annual National Preparedness Month (NPM) in September. Sponsored by FEMA’s Ready Campaign, NPM is a nationwide effort encouraging individuals, families, businesses, and communities to work together and take action to prepare for emergencies. This year, NPM focuses on encouraging all Americans to take active steps toward getting involved and becoming prepared. Preparedness is everyone’s responsibility.

California Parks and Recreation Society’s to hold annual golf tournament in Napa

The 59th Annual California Parks and Recreation Society (CPRS) District I Golf Tournamentwill once again be held at the Napa Golf Course. with this year’s event on Friday,September 17 beginning at 9:00 a.m.  The cost is $85 per golfer and includes lunch and many prizes.  Proceeds from this event will go towardsstudent scholarships for those who are obtaining a degree in the field ofRecreation and Parks.  To sign up for thetournament go to the CPRS website www.cprs.orgor call Jon Davis at 707-838-1268 or jdavis@townofwindsor.com 

 
Public Comment Period to open on housing reports

The City has set a 15 day comment period beginning September 6, 2010 to receive comments on the 2009-10 Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report (CAPER) and the Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice. The CAPER lists accomplishments made by the City of Napa and progress made by local community organizations jointly in achieving the goals set by the One Year Action Plan that was approved by the Napa City Council on May 5, 2009.  The AI identifies barriers to fair housing choice, presents recommendations that may be adopted to overcome these barriers, and monitors progress in achieving the adopted recommendations.
