City crews complete maintenance paving on Freeway Drive PDF Print E-mail

Driversand bicyclists will notice a smoother ride on Freeway Drive due to maintenancepaving competed by City crews.  The work patched most of rough parts andrepaired the bike lane in the south bound lanes.  Final pavement stripingwill occur by early next week.  The work was required to repair severelydamaged sections of pavement and stabilize the road in advance of future pavingwork.  A project to overlay the entire potion of Freeway Drive is planned for completionby 2012. 

 
DUI and drivers license checkpoint Friday PDF Print E-mail

On Friday July 30, 2010 the Napa Police Department will be conducting a DUI/Drivers License checkpoint somewhere in the city limits of Napa.  The checkpoint will be in an area where the City of Napa has experienced a high number of collisions because the driver was driving under the influence.

Draft Historic Context Statements Published for Spencer's Addition & West Napa PDF Print E-mail

The City of Napa has released a public draft of the Spencer’s Addition and West Napa Historic Context Statements for public review.  These two primarily residential neighborhoods are located to the west and northwest of downtown and are separated by Napa Creek. Most Napans are probably familiar with the enclave of Victorian and early twentieth century cottages that line the “alphabet streets” of Spencer’s Addition and the grand mansions along First Street in West Napa.
