Three park playgrounds to be renovated PDF Print E-mail

Improvementsat Fuller Park and Laurel Park playgrounds will take place this summer funded by $148,470 in Federal Stimulus Grants flowing through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) system. The Buhman Park playground will be improved using City funds and a largely volunteer work force.

Memorial Day Weekend DUI crackdown planned PDF Print E-mail

The Avoid the Napa County DUI Campaign will be deploying officers this holiday weekend at DUI/Drivers License Checkpoints and DUI Saturation Patrols to continue successful efforts towards arresting drunk drivers, lowering deaths and injuries, and educating the public about the dangers of impaired driving.  As the summer season kicks off at the end of May holiday travelers, college graduates and communities enjoying local festivities are warned that driving drunk won’t be tolerated.

Paving on Soscol underway – lane closures mean brief delays PDF Print E-mail

UPDATED Thursday June 3, 2010

A contractor working for the City has resumed work on Soscol Avenue, requiring lane closures and traffic delays. Grinding of the road surface both southbound and northbound from just north of McKinstry Street to Lincoln Avenue is scheduled to continue through June 3. “Digout” repairs to the worst sections of the street will follow. This work will require restricting traffic to one lane in each direction. Final paving of this section is scheduled for Friday, June 4.
