Using this online citizen police report system allows you to submit a report immediately and print a copy of the police report for free. Please confirm the following to find out if online citizen police report filing is right for you:

  • This incident occurred within the Napa Police Department City limits?
  • There are No Known suspects?
  • This did not occur on a State Freeway?
If you answered yes to all of the above questions, you are ready to file your report online. Please make sure to turn off your pop-up blocking software before filing the report. If you answered no to any of the questions please look at our Online Citizen Police Report Frequently Asked Questions section.

 

Upon completion of this report process you will:
  • See the words: "Your online police report has been submitted" showing that your police report is complete.
  • Be given a police report case number.
  • Be able to print a copy of the police report to keep for your records.

  • All cases filed using the Citizens Online Police Reporting System will be reviewed.
  • Upon review, if further investigation of your case is needed, you may be contacted.
  • Filing a false police report is a crime.

There are 10 departments in the City  organizational structure  . The responsibility for the operation of each department is assigned to a Department head appointed by the City Manager, with the exception of the City Clerk and the City Attorney , who are appointed by the City Council, and the Personnel Director who is appointed by the Civil Service Commission.

The  Housing Authority of the City of Napa (HACN) administers rental assistance programs throughout the City for low-income seniors, families, and persons with disabilities. Housing Division staff assure that Section 8 assisted housing is safe and of quality by requiring owners to meet Housing Quality Standards and local code.

The Planning Division provides a comprehensive planning review and evaluation of all current development projects in accordance with State Planning Law, California Environmental Quality Act, the City's General Plan, Zoning Ordinance and other land use standards. Preparation and enforcement of all Permit and Architectural Review conditions of approval is a complementary responsibility. The Division also provides advanced planning services, General Plan administration, and Zoning Ordinance studies not directly related to current development review.

Doing business in Napa? Please e-mail City staff at FinanceCollections@cityofnapa.org  and a Business License Tax Application will be sent to you, or download application here . Once you have completed the application, return four (4) copies to the Finance Department.  If you have questions, please call the Finance Department at 707-257-9508.

The City of Napa Parks and Recreation Services Department provides residents with access to more than 48 parks that cover 800 acres of park land. The City’s park system consists of a variety of recreation attractions, such as parks, open space, playgrounds, sport fields, a golf course, the Napa River and milesof natural and paved trails for walking, biking and hiking. In addition to parkland resources, the Parks and Recreation staff maintains over 21 acres of landscaped areas throughout the city.
