Members of the City o f Napa Boards, Commissions and Committees are citizens who play an active and vital role in shaping the City of Napa's future and quality of life. If you have a desire to become more involved in your community, and you are a resident of Napa, you may be interested in the possibility of becoming a member of one of our many boards, commissions, or committees. From parks and recreation, historic preservation, bicycles and trails to planning and zoning issues, there may be a spot for you! WHAT IS A BOARD/COMMISSION?
Many of our Boards, Commissions, and Committees are comprised exclusively of citizens appointed by the City Council, some include a combination of citizens and elected officials, while others are limited to only elected officials.

City Boards, Commissions, and Committees include groups of dedicated citizens appointed to one
of three types of bodies:
1) Decision-making Boards/Commissions (listed above)
2) Advisory Boards/Commissions (listed above)
3) Decision-making or Advisory Boards/Commissions for other local or regional agencies

    The City of Napa Boards/Commissions that are composed exclusively of elected officials include:

    WHAT ARE THE RULES AND PROCEDURES OF THE BOARDS/COMMISSIONS?
    Policy Resolution No. 10 outlines norms of operation and rules of order and procedure for city-established
    boards, commissions, and committees.

    The Brown Act explains all the rules regarding open and public meetings, both which are pertinent to the roll of a commissioner.

    The Annual Conflict of Interest (Form 700) is available for Current Board and Commission members.
