What?

The Cultural Heritage Commission (CHC) advises City Council on historical preservation matters; makes recommendations to the City Council on the designation of landmarks and historic districts; and reviews and makes comments on issues related to the historic resources of the community. Each member should demonstrate interest or knowledge of historic preservation and the cultural resources of the city. At least three members should be professionals in the fields or disciplines of architecture, landscape architecture, history, architectural history, rehabilitation construction, urban planning, American studies, cultural geography, pre-historic and historic archaeology, folklore or cultural anthropology, conservation or other historic preservation-related disciplines to the extent that such professionals are available in the community. The remaining Commission members will include members who have a demonstrated interest in preservation-related fields and urban design.

When and Where?
The Cultural Heritage Commission meets on the first Thursday of each month. Meetings begin at 5:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 955 School St., Napa.
