Police Department applies for JAG funds PDF Print Email

The Napa Police Department is applying on behalf of the City of Napa for a U.S. Department of Justice Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Grant (JAG) in the amount of $19,585. JAG funds can be used for local initiatives, technical assistance, training, personnel, equipment, supplies, contractual support and information systems for criminal justice. Per grant application requirements, the applicant must provide a notice of assurance that the application or any future amendment was made public and an opportunity to comment was provided to citizens and to neighborhood community organizations. The 2012 JAG grant funds will be used to purchase mobile wireless computers (tough books) for emergency/disaster management to enhance the City/County Law Enforcement capabilities.
