The Napa Valley Television Board of Directors provides recommendations for opportunities for service; approves NVTV’s mission, vision, and reviews management’s performance in achieving it; annually assesses the needs of the community and approves strategies in relation to it; and reviews and approves the program’s financial structure and budget. Applicants should have an appreciation for the diverse needs of the community and innovative strategies to address them, and a collaborative and inclusive nature. The selected applicant will serve a two year term beginning April 2013 through April 2015. Meetings are held at 1600 Myrtle Avenue, the first Thursday of every other month from 5:15 pm – 6:30 pm. The Senior Advisory Commission makes recommendations to the City Council on matters regarding services, facility use, and recreational activities at the Napa Senior Center and establishes short and long term program goals. The Commission consists of seven members. Five members must be representatives from the senior community and the remaining two members must be representatives from area senior service agencies providing services within the City. This vacancy must fill the requirement of being a representative from area senior service agencies. The selected applicant will serve a two year term beginning April 2013 through September 2015. Meetings are held at the Senior Center, 1500 Jefferson Street, on the first Wednesday of every other month at 2:00 p.m. Applications are available at the City Clerk office at City Hall or online here. Disability Access Board of Appeals and Senior Advisory Commission applicants must be City of Napa residents and registered voters.
