Welcome to the City of Napa Fire Department Fire Prevention Division homepage. The Fire Prevention Division is responsible for many types of inspections which include the inspection of new building projects, commercial tenant improvement and residential remodel projects, existing building occupancies, fire protection systems, weed abatement, and the review of building plans to ensure compliance with applicable codes. In addition, the Fire Prevention Division is responsible for reviewing and implementing ordinances and regulations pertaining to the control and prevention of fires.
