A 2004 Water Rate Analysis resulted in three years of fixed rate increases followed by Consumer Price Index (CPI)-based increases from 2007 to 2011.

Resolution R2007 48 – City Council adopted Resolution R2007 48 on March 20, 2007.  The resolution tied water rates to San Francisco Bay Area Consumer Price Index adjustments beginning October 1, 2007 and each October 1 thereafter.

March 20, 2007 Public Hearing - Staff Report – City Council held a Public Hearing on Water Rates to comply with Proposition 218.

specialnoticetitle.jpgSpecial Notice of Public Hearing on Water Rates - On February 2, 2007 this notice was mailed to property owners and water customers served by the City of Napa Water System.  The notice identified the proposed inflation adjustments to water rates, explained the need for adjustments, and announced a Public Hearing on Water Rates for March 20, 2007.  The Special Notice complied with requirements of Proposition 218.

January 23, 2007 City Council Staff Report – City Council authorized the mailing of a Special Notice of Public Hearing on Water Rates.

January 23, 2007 Presentation to City Council – Staff presentation to City Council explaining the Proposition 218 process and identifying the proposed rates that will take effect on October 1, 2007.

Resolution R2004 119 – City Council adopted Resolution R2004 119 on July 20, 2004.  The resolution established fixed increases in water rates through 2006 and tied rates to CPI adjustments in 2007 and beyond.
