Napa Police Department Investigators have arrested two suspects, a 16 year-old male and a 23 year-old male on murder, robbery and criminal conspiracy charges in connection with the investigation of the murder of Napa teenager Jesus Tornero. Tornero, a 16 year-old senior who attended Napa High School was assaulted and robbed Monday evening while walking home through a central Napa neighborhood.  

The 16 year-old male juvenile was arrested at the Napa Police Department and booked into the Napa County Juvenile Detention Center on felony charges of Murder, 187 (A) PC, Robbery, 211 PC, and Criminal Conspiracy, 182 (A) (1) PC.  

Also arrested and charged with Murder, Robbery and Criminal Conspiracy is Donovan Pierre, 23 years, DOB 5/8/85.  Both suspects reside together in an apartment complex located in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue in Napa.

On Wednesday, an informant contacted police investigators and divulged information implicating both suspects in the robbery and assault of victim, Jesus Tornero.  The juvenile was contacted at school and transported to the Napa Police Department where he was interviewed concerning his participation in the robbery and assault.  

Pierre was later contacted by investigators and transported to the Napa Police Department where he was interviewed concerning his participation in the robbery and assault on victim Tornero.

The police investigation revealed that victim Tornero was walking home when he was approached by both suspects. During the ensuing robbery it is alleged that both suspects physically assaulted Tornero, taking the victim’s cell phone and $10.00. An autopsy on Victim Tornero revealed the cause of death to be blunt force trauma to the head.
