America Recycles Day, celebrated nationally on November 15, is dedicated to encourage Americans to recycle and buy recycled products. Celebrating its eleventh year, it has grown to include millions of Americans pledging to improve their recycling habits at home and at work. To join in the national festivities, the City and County of Napa and Upper Valley Waste Management Agency have partnered with the Napa Valley Food Bank in an effort to improve our community recycling habits as well as help those in need.On Saturday, November 15, between 9am and 2pm, food donations will be accepted at select grocery stores. In return, donors will receive a small indoor recycling bin, free of charge.

Suggested food items include: Cereal, canned vegetables, canned meat, juice, baby food, dried fruit, macaroni and cheese, non-perishable canned and dry goods, nutritious snacks, peanut butter
