The City of Napa Public Works Department will hold an informational public meeting for persons interested in drainage issues in the South Coombs Street area. The meeting will be held at 6:30pm on Thursday December 11 in the multi-purpose room at Shearer Elementary SChool, 1590 Elm Street.
The primary purpose of the meeting is to let residents and property owners in the area know that there will continue to be some problems with flooding even after the Napa River Flood Protection Project is completed.Residents and businesses are being informed that the residual flooding problem has been acknowledged, and it is expected that additional work will need to be done in the future to solve the drainage problem in this area. Public Works staff would also like to hear from residents and businesses to get a better understanding of specific drainage and flooding problems in this area, which will assist engineers to determine where risks will remain and how they may be solved.
Over time, Public Works will develop a plan to deal with these drainage problems. There is no project scheduled currently, and there is no funding to conduct a project.Questions or comments prior to the meeting can be directed to:
