The City of Napa Community Resources Department is now accepting registration for two youth recreational sports leagues, and announces a new drop-in adult sports opportunity.

Spring Youth Basketball League
Location: Harvest Middle School Gym and NEW Redwood Middle School Gym.

The Youth Basketball program is set up so that boys and girls, 7-12 years old, have the opportunity to learn and develop the basketball skills needed to excel in one of America's favorite sports.  Each team consists of up to 10 players of the same age group to ensure equal playing time for everyone. Each team practices 1 hour per week, 1 day per week between Monday and Friday at a school TBA. Practices will begin the week of March 30th and each team will play one (1) game per week beginning the week of April 6 and continuing through May 14. . Coaches will contact all players regarding practice day and time as well as the game schedule by March 22nd. All attempts will be made to meet special requests, but cannot be guaranteed. PLEASE INDICATE SCHOOL ON REGISTRATION FORM. Schools will be combined when necessary. Volunteer coaches are always needed and should sign up early for the greatest selection of practice times. Contact Mike Franchi @ 257-9210 for coaching information. Early Registration deadline is through Thursday, March 12th and the fee is $79. Late registration is $89 and will be excepted if space is available.

Adult soccer is back in Napa with this great opportunity to come out and play under the lights! Players will have the ability to practice or come together and play full-sided games. Goals and markers will be provided for the players each night. The soccer program will be held Wednesday and Thursday evenings beginning March 4 and running through April 16 at the JFK softball fields from 6:00 to 9:00pm. 2009 Girls Volleyball League

The perfect league for the beginner, those looking to keep their skills fresh, and those girls who want to have fun with their friends! This league is for girls age 11-14. The season will begin with a 1 hour practices on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 5, 6, or 7pm starting March 16 at the Las Flores Community Center.  Games will begin on April 8 and will be played on Wednesdays at 5, 6, or 7pm.  “Skills and Drills” sessions will continue on Mondays once games have started and will be scheduled at the same time every week.
