If you are interested in the future of Downtown Napa, the City of Napa wants you for a Downtown Plan Steering Committee to help with the development of the Plan over the next 18 months. Appilications must be received by April 24. The Committee will meet an estimated seven times on Wednesday evenings throughout the course of the Plan’s development.  The first meeting dates are June 17 and August 5, 2009.To see application information, click "Read more."

The 15 member Steering Committee will include a Council member, a Planning Commissioner, a Cultural Heritage Commissioner; and representatives from other interested parties including major downtown property owners, Downtown business groups, retail and office tenants and banking/finance, adjacent neighborhoods, and environmental and other citywide interest groups. Applicants must either live in the city or own a major property or business in the Downtown.

To apply:

  • provide your name and residential address
  • business address if a downtown property owner or tenant
  • an interest group you would represent
  • any special expertise
  • a brief statement of why you would like to serve
  • at least one local reference.
