Water-Wise Landscaping Workshops help beat the drought

Thursday September 11, 2014

The current statewide drought emergency has spurred local water savings. Despite significant earthquake-related leaks, Napa still experienced its lowest July and August water consumption in twenty years. To help continue this great progress, the City of Napa and the Town of Yountville are teaming up to present a free Water-Wise Landscaping Workshop Series beginning September 15. On four consecutive Mondays from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, area residents will learn about sprinkler scheduling, drip irrigation, site preparation, and low-water-use garden design. Outdoor water conservation is the key to navigating this drought period, and by installing climate-appropriate plants and irrigating efficiently customers will save on water bills as well.
