Calling all artists for 2017-2019 Napa Art Walk

The City of Napa has released a Call for Artists for the 2017-2019 Napa Art Walk. This next iteration for the two-year sculpture exhibition from May 2017 through April 2019 will be the fifth since the program began in 2009. Up to 15 new sculptures will be chosen to participate in the exhibit.
The theme for the 2017-2019 exhibit is “Shifting Perspective.” The City is seeking artworks that demonstrate the power of perspective: art that changes depending upon how, when and where it is viewed. This may take the form of a shift in scale, context, construction or some other aspect; some things that are hidden in one view become visible in another, or arrangements of things may be easier to recognize from one perspective than another. The intention is to make viewers pause, reflect or take note and to personalize the phrase, “When you change the way you look at things, the way things look starts to change.”
The call is open to professional artists over 18 living or working in these Western states: AZ, CA, CO, NM, NV, OR, UT or WA. The deadline for entries is December 1, 2016 at Midnight, PST. The full call for artists may be viewed at Call for Entry Napa Art Walk.
In addition to the new call for artists, the City has also refreshed program branding. There is a new logo and website design, still at www.NapaArtWalk.org.

Napa Art Walk: Program Info
Napa Art Walk is a two-year exhibition of original, high-quality sculpture showcased in public areas around Downtown Napa and the Oxbow District.
