First Street in the City of Napa is now closed on either side of the Napa River as a bridge replacement project is underway. Signs direct traffic to detour to Third Street on the south and Lincoln Avenue on the north. The closure is expected to continue through the end of August 2009.

Access to popular Oxbow District attractions such as the Napa Valley Wine Train, Oxbow Public Market, and Copia will be maintained from Soscol Avenue on the west, and both parking lots at Copia will remain unaffected by the closure.
