City buildings are open Monday through Thursday, from 8 AM – 5 PM, and will be physically closed to the public on Fridays. However, the community will still be able to access staff and services either by phone or by email, depending on services requested.
The Building department will be be available to the Public from 8am-4pm Monday through Thursday.
Last submittal and/or permit issuance is at 3:30pm to allow adequate time for processing before the counter closes.
The Building Division is responsible for the enforcement of building standards to safeguard health, life, safety, property, and public welfare of all buildings and structures within the City of Napa.
The Building Division’s Goals are to:
Review construction plans for compliance with the latest adopted California Building Code, City ordinances, and state and federal laws
Provide education for the general public and construction professionals as it relates to new building regulations and methods
Provide responsive and efficient service to the public in a friendly manner
