Mary Luros was born in Rio Oso, California, where her family has been farming for six generations. She attended Saint Mary’s College of California, where she majored in politics and minored in religious studies. After college, Mary earned her juris doctorate at Golden Gate University School of Law. She moved to Napa in 2008 and started a law firm with her husband Jason, specializing in business, property, and estate planning and administration.
Mary was appointed to the City Council in January 2015 and served until December 2016. She was elected to the Council in 2018 and currently represents the city on the following boards and commissions: Napa Sanitation District; Napa-Vallejo Waste Management Authority (Alternate).
Mary and her husband have two young children, a daughter and son. In addition to being a very proud graduate of Leadership Napa Valley (Class 22, Wagenknecht Memorial Award), she is also a director of the Children’s Museum of Napa Valley, and an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Napa, Napa Moms, and the Napa Housing Coalition. She is a past president of Napa County Women Lawyers, a member of the Napa County Bar Association, and a past director of California Women Lawyers.
