Becoming a Lifeguard

Take Lifeguard training during the week of Spring Break and walk away with all the certifications necessary to start a job as a professional lifeguard. Through videos, group discussion, and hands-on practice, you'll learn teamwork, rescue and surveillance skills, First Aid, CPR/AED, and other skills you need to work as a lifeguard.

The fee includes Red Cross certifications in Lifeguard Training, First Aid, and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, as well as all books and materials.

You must be at least 15 years old by the last day of class and be able to pass certain swimming requirements. Though this does not guarantee a job with Napa Parks and Recreation, applicants from class will be strongly considered.
