Napa 911 Dispatch Center

The Dispatch Center is under management of the City of Napa, is a partnership operation with the Napa Sheriff’s Department (including American Police Department and Town of Yountville), American Canyon Fire Department and American Medical Response.

The Napa 911 Dispatch Center is the primary answer point for 911 emergency calls in the City of Napa, unincorporated areas of Napa County, City of American Canyon and Town of Yountville. The center dispatches law enforcement resources for Napa Police, Napa County Sheriff and American Canyon Police Departments. Fire/EMS resources for Napa Fire and American Canyon Fire Departments as well as AMR Ambulance Service county wide. The Napa 911 Computer Aided Dispatch system is linked with the Napa County Fire dispatch system to seamlessly share information between dispatch centers.

The center is staffed by four Supervisors, 20 full-time Dispatchers, five Public Safety Dispatch Call Takers, and two part-time Dispatchers and processes approximately 115,000 calls per year. The Dispatch Center operates a myriad of technical equipment, including a computer aided dispatch system, intelligent phone work stations and numerous computerized systems to access information regarding arrests, vehicle registration, driver’s license information, etc.
