Records and Property Bureau

Records

The Records Bureau is staffed by one full-time Senior Records Assistant, six full-time Records Assistants and two part-time Community Service Assistants. The Police Records Bureau is located in the Police Department lobby. Lobby service hours are Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Fridays by appointment only. The Napa Police Department Records Bureau staff are often the first people you see when you come to the Department lobby. The Records Bureau provides a variety of services from maintaining all police reports and files for the department to reporting crime statistics on a monthly basis to the California Department of Justice and the FBI.  

They are also responsible for a variety of other services, including fingerprint and LiveScan service, local records check requests, vendor and solicitor permits and managing the release of crime reports and call for service information to the public. Property

The Property Bureau is staffed with two full-time Property Technicians, and they are responsible for the receipt, storage, safekeeping, release and disposal of all property and evidence that comes under the control of the Napa Police Department.
