Westwood Neighborhood Rehabilitation:    Phase 1

The Westwood Neighborhood Rehabilitation Phase 1 project focuses on the core streets of the neighborhood including Kilburn Avenue, Chelsea Avenue, Bryan Avenue, Bremen Court and Bancroft Court. The work generally consists of hot-mix asphalt grind and overlay, cold plane transitions, adjusting utility covers to finish grade, installing replacement water meter boxes, fire hydrant relocation, replacing pavement markings and striping, the removal and replacement of concrete curb returns, curb, gutter and sidewalk repair, tree removal and planting. It also includes improvements necessary to the pedestrian and bicycle travel ways to improve overall circulation and to meet Americans with Disabilities Act requirements. The balance of the neighborhood will receive a similar treatment in the next two years of the Measure T work plan.
