Westwood Hills Park Sign

Friends of Westwood Hills Park, facilitated by the Parks and Recreation Department will hold their first Saturday Volunteer Day this Saturday, February 23, from 9AM – 11AM at Westwood Hills Park, 3107 Browns Valley Road. Volunteers will help to remove French broom, an invasive plant species that prevents native species from thriving, is toxic to animals and is also a fire hazard. Volunteers are asked to wear long pants, long-sleeve shirts, and closed shoes or boots. A sun hat is recommended, as well as water and sunscreen. Gloves and tools will be provided. No experience is necessary, all ages are welcome – and coffee, donuts and fruit will be served! These events are orchestrated in conjunction with the Napa County Regional Park and Open Space District.

Volunteers are asked to RSVP to [email protected] or 707-257-9529.

Future volunteer days at Westwood Hills Park will be held on the 3rd and 4th Saturdays of the month through May 2019:

• March 16 & 23

• April 20 & 27

• May 18 & 25
