Public Information Line
Napa County has established a Public Information Line for the Emergency Operations Center. The public is encouraged to call (707) 299-1501, not the non-emergency dispatch number, for information regarding the Public Safety Power Shutoff. This line is staffed with English and Spanish speaking staff.
El Condado de Napa ha establecido una Línea de Información Pública para el Centro de Operaciones de Emergencia. Se le pide al público que llame al (707) 299-1501, y no al número del despacho de emergencia, para información acerca de los Apagones de Electricidad por Motivos de Seguridad Publica. Esta línea tendrá personal asignado en inglés y español.
Update October 8, 2019:
PG&E has confirmed public safety power shutoffs in Napa County beginning early Wednesday morning that may extend five days or longer. Over 32,000 PG&E customers could be affected, which includes many City of Napa residents and businesses. We will continue to monitor the situation and work with PG&E and Napa County as this event unfolds. Information will be shared via Nixle and the City and County’s social media platforms and websites.

- Have a personal safety plan in place for every member of your household (including pets).
- Plan for any medical needs like medications that need to be refrigerated or devices that require power.
- Build or restock your emergency supply kit, including food, water, flashlights, a radio, fresh batteries, first aid supplies and cash.
- Identify backup charging methods for phones.
- Learn how to manually open your garage door.
- If you own a backup generator, ensure it is ready to safely operate.

- Identify alternate charging options for devices, such as your car.
What to Expect
Should power be shutoff to parts of the City, this will affect traffic signals throughout town. Public Works is staging stop signs at all traffic signal locations in preparation for possible outages, and drivers are encouraged to use caution or avoid major intersections, if at all possible. Napa Police will be fully staffed during this event to ensure the safety of the community. At this time, City services are expected to be available, such as recycling/waste and water services.
Charging Stations
Charging Stations will be offered for those that may need charge their phones and devices during a sustained outage. Remember to bring your own charging cords. The following locations will be open:
